This beaver casually shopping for Christmas decorations is an adorably festive pick-me-up

The holiday season is (finally) here, and we couldn’t be more excited. Whether you put up your Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving or are planning to get shopping — errr, the week of — finding Christmas decorations is a key way to get into the holiday spirit. But you’re probably not going to see anything cuter than this beaver casually shopping for Christmas decorations.

The beaver was spotted in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, shopping around a local dollar store (we love a good bargain shopper).

The local country sheriff was originally called after concerned shoppers spotted the mammal perusing the aisles and eyeing the Christmas decorations. The office even took to Twitter to spread the news of “the suspect causing property destruction”… We’re serious.

Thankfully, they later updated that the beaver was rescued by animal control and returned to a wildlife rehabilitator.

All we know is that everyone deserves a chance to get into the Christmas spirit, even wandering beavers.
