Didn’t we just say that there’s nothing we love more than when stans do some digging and find out about upcoming launches before they’re announced? It seems that, for Rihanna, flipping the makeup and lingerie worlds upside down while prepping for an upcoming sunglasses and luxury fashion line is simply not enough. The singer/actress/designer/mogul is about to come for our wallets in a whole new way with the creation of her namesake skin care line.
Page Six reports that a trademark listed under “Fenty Skin” on the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s website and filed on March 25, 2019. As recent as that may be, it’s actually not the first we’re hearing of a Rihanna-backed skin care line. Back in 2017, a fan noticed a trademark registered under “House of Fenty” for “cosmetics…namely, creams, lotions, gels, toners, and cleansers.” As we now know, House of Fenty doesn’t exist. But this trademark is different (and bigger), anyway. The trademark for “Fenty Skin” includes “medicated and non-medicated skin care, soap, body care, and personal care products (excluding color cosmetics, perfume, and other fragrance-only products), and related accessories such as kits, tools and applicators.”
While the trademark has only just been approved, meaning the launch is probably not exactly imminent, the thought of using a Rihanna-approved and branded skin care regimen is enough to get us through the wait.
