Princess Eugenie just switched up her hair in a major way: the royal debuted a darker shade of chestnut brown hair, proving she has a knack for blink-or-you’ll-miss-it hair color changes. And her new look is giving us serious Kate Middleton vibes. (Perhaps she’s taken a page from her cousin-in-law’s beauty handbook.) Our bigger question: is a great head of hair a must to be part of the British royal family? Eugenie debuted her new hair color in a December 11th Instagram post, where she’s seen at the Queen’s Gallery in London.

So hair for this! In her caption, the newly married royal wrote: “As patron of the Tate Young Patrons, I was happy to host a reception at The Queen’s Gallery where we got to see two magnificent shows on Russia. A must see in London.”
Princess Eugenie recently wed Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on October 12th. Prior to her nuptials, the royal also underwent a major hair transformation. Evoking memories of her famous redheaded mother, Sarah, the Duchess of York (commonly known as Fergie), Eugenie was spotted around London with auburn red hair a few days before her wedding. On her big day, she wound up sporting a darker auburn shade—providing a nice contrast to her tiara.
Obviously, the royal can pull off just about any hair shade. We only wonder which color will get the royal treatment next.
