Applying makeup can feel a lot like painting on a canvas, but makeup artist Lisa Houghton has taken that literally by recreating famous works of art directly on her face and wowing her over 20 thousand Instagram followers in the process.

Perhaps her most incredible piece is her recreation of Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic Mona Lisa which is making the rounds on the Internet as a perfect example of what happens when extreme talent meets incredible creativity.

And the Mona Lisa isn’t the Lisa’s only work of art: Her portfolio is filled with world-renowned masterpieces from all over the world, including The Kiss by Gustav Klimt and Claude Monet’s Poppy Field, all done in makeup.

Luckily, we don’t just get to see the final product. On her Instagram account, Lisa gives her followers a glimpse into her process.

When Lisa isn’t blowing our minds with her mini works of art, she’s doing the makeup of some other pretty famous faces, like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Jessica Alba, Lily Aldridge and Amber Heard, according to the New York Post.

Whether she’s doing the eyeliner of our favorite celebs or painting full masterpieces on her own face, it’s safe to say we’re obsessed with Lias Houghton’s work and the unique twist she’s bringing to her passion.
