This mom and daughter duo (who look more like sisters) started a skin care line
We hate to say this, but the Instagram explore tab can really lead you down a rabbit hole if you let it. Some days you can uncover the booty exfoliator you never knew you needed, or the collagen butter set to give your avocado toast a run for its money, or in this case a mommy-daughter small biz to support.
Cocoa Made was created by blogger and entrepreneur Vee Gilbert and her two daughters. After being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Vee looked into bath soaks to relieve pain. She started creating scented bath products and the rest is history. What started as mostly bath bombs have since evolved into lotions, scrub bars, and skin care.
No, your eyes are not deceiving you. This is a MOTHER and DAUGHTER. But which is which?
We’re super curious about the Cocoa Made Golden Honey Milk Face Mask ($7 in their Etsy store).
Each pouch can last for 7 to 8 applications and comes with a mask brush, mixing bowl, and spatula. It’s got bentonite clay (a deep cleanser), turmeric (known to even skin tone), organic honey (an excellent hydrator), and organic potato starch (a natural skin brightener.)
If you’re still looking for a Mother’s Day gift, check out the Cocoa Made Mother’s Day Set. For $25 bucks, you can score a Heart of Gold bath bomb, Gold Nuggets bath salts, Pharaoh’s Gold bar soap, and a golden rose candle. (Be sure to tell mom it was made by a mother-daughter company to score some extra points.)
