It’s both the best and worst feeling when you realize you’ve been doing a not-so-good job of cleaning your makeup brushes. The bad news is you can’t help but wonder how many years you’ve been brutalizing your skin with globs of bacteria, but the good news is you finally got your ish together.

If you’ve ever used a brush cleansing glove you know they’re a game changer. (Don’t believe us? Try cleaning your brushes how you normally would then test drive a glove or mat. Spoiler — you’re in for a surprise.)

Following in the footsteps of Sigma Beauty, E.l.f. just launched their own makeup brush cleansing sponge.

Here’s the tea: Use the larger beads to clean bigger brushes and the waves to rinse and straighten brush hairs. The smaller texture is best for smaller brushes and you can even pop one or two in the glove’s circle-shaped cutouts.

As can be expected, this E.l.f. release is super affordable. You can find it on elfcometics.com for 10 bucks.

If you’re interested in Sigma’s versions, you can grab their Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleansing Mat for $25!

and their 2x Sigma Spa Brush Cleansing Glove for $39.

Splurge vs. save, what team are you on?
