As much as we love our nude shadows, daytime smoky eyes, and classic lewks in shades of brown, every now and then we get the urge to bring on the color.
Instagram makeup artists and beauty influencers never cease to amaze us with their creativity. If they’re not applying their makeup with wacky household items (boiled egg to blend, anyone?) they’re flexing their blending skills all over our feeds.
We can’t help but notice a new trend brewing on social media. #Sunseteyeshadow is as beautiful as it sounds, combining pinks, purples, reds, and golds, with the occasional splash of aqua. We want to get into this romantic trend like, now.
“I’ll have a sunset shadow with a side of glitter cut crease and a Diet Coke.”

…day by dayyy (you know you were thinking it too)
Literal perfection, folks.
Sunset eyes + cotton candy hair.
Blending game on point!
LIVING for that shimmery tear duct.
Sunset shadow gets the daytime treatment.
The white liner on the waterline is the cherry on top, no?
We’ll take any excuse to break out the lime green shadow.
A matching orange lip? Yes, please!
Electric liner alert!
And now we present, a sunset eye inspired by Harry Styles’s “Sign of the Times” cover art.
