During the month of September, the skin care brand Frank Body will be donating proceeds towards a great cause. For their September campaign, Frank Body will support Pink Hope by donating proceeds all month long, and by raising breast and ovarian cancer awareness. For those unfamiliar, Pink Hope is a charity dedicated to educating women and helping detect and prevent breast cancer as well as ovarian cancer.

For Pink Hope’s #brightpicklipstickday, Frank Body will be donating 100% of their profits from their popular Lip Scrub and Balm Duo ($16.95) all month long to Pink Hope.

A press email sent to HelloGiggles shares some of the inspiration behind the campaign.

Jess Hatzis even penned a blog post on the website explaining the campaign to followers while emphasizing how important it is to regularly get checked for cancer.

Hatzis wrote,

The blog post features two sisters, Melanie and Karni. After their mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, they got tested and discovered they carried the BRCA1 gene mutation, meaning they have a high risk of getting it. Earlier this year, Karni was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, and thanks to regular health checks, she was able to treat the cancer.

This campaign also gives us a wholesome excuse to buy the Lip Balm & Scrub Duo ($16) during the month of September.
