Sometimes it’s hard to remember that when Kim Kardashian was younger, she was besties with other L.A. kids, like Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton. But, yes, back in the ’90s, Kardashian was often spotted with the two Simple Life stars — way before she became a huge reality TV star herself. In a recent blog post on her website, fans were reminded of those glory days when Kardashian reminisced on a time she stole lipstick from a drugstore with Richie.

Yup, Kim Kardashian was once a little rebel.

She wrote, “When Nicole Richie and I were around 11, we went into a drugstore in Malibu and took lipstick. We thought we were so badass!” Kardashian added, “I can’t remember the name of the color, but it was a brown shade from Revlon. I wasn’t much of a partier growing up, so this was about as rebellious as I got.”

Hey, young kids do stupid things all the time. She shared the story as a way to show that she’s always been obsessed with makeup. (And, possibly, brown and nude lipsticks.)

Kardashian also wrote, “I’ve always been really interested in beauty. For me, creating KKW Beauty was a natural evolution — makeup has been a huge part of my life since I was a little girl.”

KK said in the post that she didn’t always steal makeup from stores — she also snooped around her mom’s stuff. “Kourtney and I would get into all of my mom’s makeup. We would try everything, but we were so obsessed with concealer and foundation for some reason. We would put it everywhere — literally, all over our faces.”

So all of the beauty lines from Kim and her sisters didn’t come out of nowhere. They’ve basically been doing it all of their lives. While Kylie’s all over the lip kits, Kim’s KKW Beauty line is all about concealer, and she has contour palettes coming out soon, too.

But now that we know Kim was into drugstore Revlon browns back in the day, we sort of want her to make a throwback line. Although, we’d pay for it, of course.
