If you need a break from your cat-eye, you'll want to try this floating eyeliner trend taking over Instagram
There’s a new floating eyeliner trend taking off on Instagram, and we definitely want to try it! The invisible liner makeup look basically subtracts a traditional eyeliner application from the equation, leaving a cool negative space effect. According to Allure:
The floating eyeliner look was created by makeup artist Stacey McDonald, who used tape to create the negative space. Try it at home by applying tape from the middle of your lashline at the angle you’d like the non-liner to slant. Brush on shadow and carefully remove tape. Ta-da!
Makeup artists and aficionados all over the ‘gram are trying the trend and tagging Stacey as their inspiration. They’re incorporating glitters, monochromatic shadows, and tons of creativity!
