Building a makeup kit is EXPENSIVE. Primers, foundations, highlighters, blushes, eyeliners, and fleeky brow products really, really, really add up. Building an arsenal of shadows has to be the priciest part of the game. Trust us, makeup newbies. Skip the individuals and go for palettes. One example of a perfect palette for beginners is a new one by Violet Voss, named Ride or Die.

With a mix of shimmers and mattes, you can build everything from daytime smokey eyes to intense runway-inspired lewks. The 42-shade palette is priced at $75 and — hallelujah — includes a mirror.

We’re TOTALLY eyeing that “Stephanie” shade. Heyyy, Stephanie!

And “Monica” is looking pretty gorg, too.

Judging by the swatches, the shadows seem to have a really nice pigment.

(Plus, if it’s good enough for Manny Gutierrez, it’s good enough for us!)

The Violet Voss Ride or Die palette is incredibly versatile. Beauty blogger Joanna Vongphoumy used it to create a sultry gray halo eye.

Arieh Jacob used it to create a red, frosty cut crease.

Violet Voss new Ride or Die Pro Palette is set to release tomorrow at ShopVioletVoss.com at 3 p.m. EST.

Who’s ready???
