Whether you’re the kind of person who loves wearing bold makeup or keeping it natural, I created two Valentine’s Day beauty looks that will add a little glam and edge to your appearance! No matter how you plan on spending the holiday, you can totally rock these looks all year round because dramatic eye makeup and girly, pinky hues never go out of style. While I love wearing simple, natural lips paired with bronzy cheeks and eyes, I did enjoy getting out of my comfort zone for my second look by adding a deep lip color with an equally daring shadow choice!

For the first look, I wanted it to have a romantic, feminine feel, so I incorporated a lot of neutral, pink tones. I love how fresh my skin appeared. While it was a simple, girly look, it definitely wasn’t boring! Plus, you can totally rock it come spring and summer!

For my second makeup look, I wanted to enhance my lips and draw attention to my eyes! I’ve heard that you should only focus on one specific area and make it the focal point. Well, I broke the rules by making my eyes and lips the center of attention! Hey, it’s Valentine’s, why not spice it up?

These two beauty looks are perfect for any Valentine’s Day plans you have going on!

Here’s what I used for prepping and priming my skin for the first look:

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

From left to right: Becca Cosmetics Backlight Priming Filter ($38), Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer ($16.99), Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ($54), and PUR Cosmetics HydraGel Lift ($26)

Step 1: Blend the Becca Backlight Priming Filter into your skin before adding your foundation

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

This will give your skin a luminous glow, and it will really make the pink eyeshadow and blush we’ll be using stand out!

Here’s what I used for my base:

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

From left to right: L’Oréal’s True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator in Ice ($10.99), Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation ($40), Too Faced Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer ($30), and Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder ($35)

Step 2: Blend your foundation and the L’Oréal illuminator together

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

After priming, and prepping, add your foundation. Once you’ve blended it all in, squeeze a small amount of the L’Oréal Lumi illuminator, and apply it to your cheeks and nose. This will give your skin a nice, radiant glow that will look natural, but it will also add an extra touch of glam when you apply Too Faced’s bronzer/blush duo.

Step 3: Set your foundation, so all of our hard work doesn’t go to waste by the end of the day

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

I have been loving Cover FX’s setting powder because it has a nice hydrating finish. While it does set my foundation, it doesn’t dry out my skin like other powders tend to do. You can add more powder to areas that tend to get oily throughout the day — that way it lasts longer.

Step 4: Time to add blush and bronzer!

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

Even though I love bronzing my face like I just came back from a tropical vacation, I wanted this look be simple, fresh, and full of pink tones. So I used Too Faced’s Snow Bunny Luminous bronzer/blush duo to give me a little extra glow. It made my skin look healthy, and because it has a bit of shimmer, it doubled as a highlighter.

Here’s what I used for my eye makeup:

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

From top to bottom: Too Faced’s Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette ($49), Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara ($23), Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Kohl Eyeliner in brown ($0.99), Sally Hansen Double Curl Lash Curler ($5.68), Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Chrome in Gilded Rose ($9.99), and YBF Automatic Universal Taupe Eyebrow Pencil ($12)

Side note: The eyebrow pencil is currently sold out but any brow pencil will do. I find that Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil ($24) is similar. I also included the NYX shadow in this photo as an affordable option if you don’t want to use the Sweet Peach palette, but mine are older versions of newer NYX pigments ($6)! Basically, any pink, shimmery shadows will do!

Step 5: Apply all the pink eyeshadow!

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

Before using the Sweet Peach palette, add the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Chrome on your lids. Since the shadow is creamy, you’ll want to start off with this. After, apply the shades Georgia, Just Peachy, and Bellini on your lids from the Sweet Peach palette. You’ll want to use Georgia for your crease since it’s matte. Add the Just Peachy and Bellini to your lids. Once you’re done with your shadow, add eyeliner, mascara, and fill in your brows. I felt comfortable using my brown pencil to create a small winged liner, but if you wanna dramatic wing, you do you boo!

Step 6: Apply gloss.

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

Because I’m forgetful, I totally forgot to do a product shot of the gloss I used. I applied Sephora’s Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Tickled Pink ($12) to my lips. If you want your lips to pop more, I would add a natural pink lipstick like Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstick in Pink Wink ($7.99), then add the gloss on top!

Here’s the finished look:

This look is perfect for any occasion! I love that it’s romantic, feminine, and all around girly. If you wanna rock something a little more daring on Valentine’s, I got you covered on the next page!

Here’s what I used for prepping and priming my skin for the second look:

Side note: I basically used the same products for this tutorial, as the first one! Except, I didn’t use the Backlight Priming Filter!

Here’s what I used for my base:

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

From left to right: Too Faced’s Sweet Peach Glow ($42), Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation ($40), Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder ($35), Alexis Ren x ColourPop Topaz Palette ($15), and Bare Minerals Powder Foundation ($30)

Side Note: I included the Sweet Peach Glow palette because I realized the ColourPop x Alexis Ren palette is sold out, and the shades are similar! However, there is going to be a restock on February 15th, so you have another chance at getting it!

Step 1: Apply your foundation

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

I have to admit that I’ve been using Sigma Beauty’s 3DHD blender ($15). While it’s not officially out yet, I got it at their event, and can’t stop using it!

Step 2: Apply setting powder

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

You’ll definitely wanna set your face with setting powder, so it will last all day long and into date night! Again, I used Cover FX’s setting powder to keep my foundation locked in.

Step 3: Add bronzer and highlighter

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

I really love how this bronzer feels, looks on my skin, and the glow that it gives me! I wanted to give my skin a bit of color, so I added a little bit of bronzer from the Alexis Ren x ColourPop palette. To give this look more glam feeling, I then added the highlighter to my cheeks and nose.

Here’s what I used for my eyes:

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

From left to right: Clean Sweep Makeup Brush Pad ($6.99) Sally Hansen Double Curl Lash Curler ($5.68), Rimmel Magnif’ Eyes Shadow Color 003 ($7.99), Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($24), YBF Automatic Universal Taupe Eyebrow Pencil ($12), Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Kohl Eyeliner in brown ($0.99), and Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara ($23)

Side note: Again, the eyebrow pencil is currently sold out but any brow pencil will do. I find that Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil ($24) is similar.

Step 4: Add shadow, eyeliner, mascara, and fill in your brows

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

I used pretty much every shade from Rimmel’s eyeshadow palette. I used the lighter hues as my base, for my inner corners, and on my brow bone. The darker colors were used for my lids. I especially used the shimmery black shade for my cut crease. To keep the shadow from messing up the rest of my makeup, I used Shadow Shields ($4.48)! You can also use them when applying lipstick, so it’s a duo-purpose product!

Here’s what I used for my lips:

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

Jordana’s Sweet Cream Liquid Lip color in Cherry Cobler ($4.99). I tested out the fuschia lip color for a Valentine’s “smooch-test” and let me just say that these affordable liquid lipsticks stay put!

Step 5: Add a deep red liquid lipstick

Alyssa Morin / Hello Giggles

I love that this liquid lipstick is creamy, and perfect for makeout sessions!
