Item of the Day: 'Tasteful Nudes' by Dave Hill
First of all, I want to reassure you that, despite the amazing title, I’m not recommending you a book that involves any actual nudity, tasteful or non-tasteful. You’re welcome and/or I’m sorry to disappoint you.
What Dave Hill’s Tasteful Nudes lacks in nudity it makes up for in hilarity. Dave writes about things I never even knew I wanted to read about, like clothing optional cruises, the toilets of Japan and the perils of being a pedicab driver. Every other line of Tasteful Nudes is a joke and I actually laughed out loud multiple times. Dave Hill is just really funny, but not the kind of funny that relies on putting other people down. Nothing about the book is mean-spirited.
Also, Dave Hill is from Cleveland, which probably doesn’t impress you much (because you are Shania Twain), but as an Ohioan I love it when former Ohioans write about the state without trashing it. And, although this is the funniest book I’ve read in a long while, it does have some real talk on issues like mental illness.
What are you waiting for? This book is unbelievably funny AND the title will make people think you’re cracking up over something very, very sexy. You can buy your own copy of Tasteful Nudes on Amazon.
