It’s been hard finding a time to go out for a jog this winter when the temperatures haven’t been sub-Arctic, and I’m so looking forward to spring and milder weather so I can be out there more often. However, I tend to live in my running sneakers even when I’m not actually, you know, running, and comfort is a MUST, which is why I fell in love with the New Balance 890v4.

In case you couldn’t tell by the whole “HKNB” bit in the title, these 890v4’s are part of Heidi Klum’s collaboration with the brand and oh man, they’re adorable. I’m not super girly, to be honest, but I really love the Cosmic Sky variation which have the right tint of lilac – SUPER SPRING-LIKE! – without seeming over-the-top or childish.

Apparently Runner’s World named these the “Best Update”, and while I don’t know what that means because I don’t read that magazine or know much about how these things are ranked, I’m pretty sure that’s a positive thing. One thing I do know about is shock absorption, which I’m always worried about not because I’m super hard on my feet, but when I think about the concept too much I think about that feeling when you used to jump from too high a place as a kid and it would just burn straight through your feet and up your legs. Uh… you know what I’m talking about, right?

You can grab your New Balance/Heidi Klum 890v4s from the New Balance website HERE for $109.99. Love ’em!
