Every year it seems there’s a new way to cut or color or style your hair so that you look #cool and like #youwokeuplikethis but also are definitely a fashion maven up on all the latest trends of what super-glamorous strangers on the internet are doing with their hair so they can look #cool and like #theywokeuplikethat to inspire you to emulate them in this endless circle of perfectly colored, cut, and styled hair. The beauty industry, folks. It’s an insidious beast.

Galaxy Hair has been on the table for the past couple of years, going through various iterations but always looking like the sort of hair color that would make us feel like enigmatic fairy princesses who know a lot of the universe’s biggest secrets. Like, c’mon.

The session, Buzzfeed reports, took NINE AND A HALF HOURS AND COST AROUND $170.

Huang, according to Buzzfeed, had no idea her hair saga would go viral, and apologized to her hairdresser for all the uh, negative attention they were getting
