Make a mental note for the next time you have approximately 2.5 minutes to do your hair in the morning: Wrapping up a sleek ponytail is an easy, fast and gorgeous look for day or night.

British hairstylist to the stars Chris Appleton — who recently brought his talents to Los Angeles — shared this photo of a gold-wrapped pony on Lea Michele Wednesday and we can’t get enough of it.

So sleek! So chic!

Appleton is known for creating out-of-the-box looks — and using craft store supplies to achieve them.

He loves to “pierce” his ‘dos using simple earrings.

You can totally recreate this look on yourself by picking up a pack of cheap gold hoops and pulling them through your braids.

And he’s given the wrapped-pony treatment to Kim Kardashian.

So fabulous.

He told Refinery29 that when Kardashian asked for a simple ponytail he thought, “‘How could I upgrade this ponytail a little bit? I don’t want to do something crazy, but I do want to add some detail.’ So I stopped at a craft store on the way to her house and thought it would be cool to add something down the ponytail, like a ribbon.”

His secret? Anchoring the ribbon with hat elastic. “It keeps it really secure; it doesn’t go anywhere,” he said.

Raise your hand if you’ll be trying this look on the weekend!
