This beauty vlogger's DIY eyebrow hack will seriously shock you
Is there anything people won’t do in the name of beauty? After we witnessed a beauty blogger make mascara out of Oreos, we thought we’d seen it all. Then, Australian beauty vlogger Stephanie Lang pulled off a practical yet brave stunt that blew our minds — she chopped off her own hair to use for makeshift brow extensions.
Before braving the daring beauty feat on camera for the first time, the Aussie attempted every known method in the book in the quest for big, thick, beautiful brows. “I’ve tried brow tattooing before, and I’ve tried pretty much everything else there is to make my actual eyebrow hairs grow back, but nothing has really worked for me.” Who hasn’t been there?
First, Lange considered affixing individual false lashes but quickly nixed the idea. “My false lashes are all black, and black would have looked pretty dark considering my hair color,” she explains.
Lange snipped a few strands and used tweezers and lash glue to strategically place them on her face.
So, how did her little aesthetic experiment turn out?
After using some brow pencil to doctor them up a bit (and camouflage any visible glue) Lange seemed pleased with the results.
“I actually don’t think it looks that bad. In fact, they look very, very similar to the natural brows I used to have before I plucked them all off,” she said.
While Lange was satisfied with her technique, we don’t necessarily recommend that you try this yourself. Always consult with a professional before using drastic measures to alter your brows.
