This beauty vlogger hilariously proves how misleading contouring could be
Let’s be honest: contouring has definitely gotten out of hand. What originally started as an age-old makeup trick to add depth and light to someone’s face has turned into a full-blown craze. There are now tutorials on contouring your ears, the back of your neck, and even your feet. We have to say, as much as we love makeup, the whole thing is a little ridiculous.
It seems that Australian beauty vlogger Chloe Morello totally agrees with us. She posted a video on YouTube titled “Everyday Full Body Contour Routine.” The title is a bit misleading, but in the best way. Morello spoofed the trend by filming her own take on contouring, deciding to use makeup to sculpt every single part of her body.
She enlisted the help of two makeup artists who contoured her face, butt, boobs, legs (including the back of them)… She even had them give her both fake abs and muscles on her arms, using nothing but makeup to achieve the effects.
The entire process took about two hours. “That’s not bad! Totally achievable,” says Morello in her video. Yes, totally achievable. So next time you’re getting ready for a pretty intense Netflix & chill session and think you can use a little extra sculpting, just contour your entire body. Why not?
As Morello jokingly says in the description of her video, “Why work out for two hours when you can utilize that time contouring?” We love that she has a sense of humor about the whole thing!
