1Best Foundation: Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick,
$46

Sephora

After hearing Hourglass’ Vanish Foundation had been popular amongst a majority of beauty vloggers since its Summer 2016 launch, I knew I had to get my greedy little hands on it. Finding a good foundation is an ongoing hunt, am I right? After all, you need different kinds of coverage for various life situations. The Vanish stick pretty much has you covered for ANYTHING. For everyday coverage, when I want something light, I do one swipe on the forehead, cheeks, and chin, then blend out. For medium coverage, I’ll do two swipes followed by three for full. Not only does the stick form make it easy for application, but good for travel (no need to worry about spills). The vlogger hype is well deserved for this one.

2Best Eyeliner: Maybelline Curvitude, $6.99

Target

As I’ve said many times before, I am the HARSHEST judge when it comes liquid eyeliners. I’m like the Simon Cowell of liquid liners. However, Maybelline’s Curvitude intrigued me. I mean look at that shape! Sometimes uniquely-shaped products can feel too gimmicky, but this makes total sense. The curved shape makes the liner easy to hold and get right into the lash line. This is a good liner for newbies so it gets my stamp of approval. Its only downside is that it’s not waterproof, but I’m crossing my fingers Maybelline makes a cry-proof version.

3Best Lip Gloss: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb, $18

I ALWAYS wear matte lipsticks (usually in red or pink) but since getting Fenty Gloss Bomb I’ve worn it continuously over a week. WHO AM I?! Leave it to Rihanna to convince a matte lipstick girl to get into gloss. (How dare you, RiRi, Love Rie-Rie.) But honestly, I’m so impressed with everything I’ve tried from Fenty that this month’s Beauty Crush could have easily been about the entire brand. Three simple words: Get. The. Gloss.

4Best Face Mask: Lush Jelly Mask, $13.95

I’ve been traveling a lot lately so my skin has been rebelling against me. Breakouts, dry spots, dullness. My face is basically F U, Marie. RUDE. Thank goddess Lush came out with these Jelly Masks. I’ve been using one called Birth of Venus, not only because it’s a cool name, but also because my skin feels so refreshed afterward due to its seaweed, sea water, lavender and chamomile ingredients. I also love how easy it is to use. Take a little piece of the jelly off, mix it together in between your hands until it turns paste-like, then apply to your mug. Fill your wine glass and do some Instagram lurking for 10 or so minutes, then rinse off. Your face will feel *so* brand new.

5Best Haircare: Rita Hazan Weekly Remedy Treatment, $42

Sephora

I’m a newbie when it comes to Rita Hazan’s haircare line, but was excited to try out this 1-2 step (cue Ciara) treatment. Since my hair is bleached and dyed pink, it’s a mission finding out the right products that will bring my wig back to life. Yes, there are masks and treatments but you usually have to leave it on your hair for 20 minutes and who the hell has time for that? This two-step treatment is pretty amazing because you rinse each step out immediately and it leaves your hair feeling SO silky soft. I still can’t believe how great this works. Then again, what else would you expect from the woman behind J.Lo, Mariah Carey, and Beyoncé’s glorious hair colors?

6Best Face Powder: Too Faced Peach Blur Translucent Smoothing Finishing Powder, $30

Sephora

I’ve been waiting all my life for Peach Blur to come out! Well, not really, but close enough. There was so much hype over this particular product and I’m so glad it lives up to it. As much as I love my loose translucent powders, I find myself using pressed powders more recently (probably because of my traveling and pressed is less messy). When it comes to giving me a nice “airbrushed” look, this one takes the cake. It also smells like delicious peach without being too sickeningly sweet. Pro tip: Don’t use a regular fluffy brush with this as it can be difficult to pick up the powder. I use my favorite Artis Oval brush and swipe over the peach a couple of times. then apply.

7Best Lip Color: Revlon Ultra HD Metallic Matte Lip Color, $7.99

Target

I’m already a fan of the OG Revlon Ultra HD Matte so I was excited to try the new metallic version. These are a good option for an everyday lip color that gives something special, but is lighter than a regular matte. They’re shiny, velvety, and lightweight without being sticky or tacky. If you love nudes, there’s a lot of options, but my current fave is Flare (a red shade, natch). These also work really great as toppers, so if you love the regular Ultra HD Matte, add one of these on top for some shine.

8Best Eyeshadow Palette: Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette, $65

Courtesy of Huda Beauty

Huda Beauty’s latest palette is one of the most stunning palettes I’ve ever seen. There are 18 shades consisting of rich purples, browns, bronzes, and golds all inspired by the desert sunsets and landscapes of the Middle East. The shades come in four different textures: mattes, duo chromes, pressed pearls, and one pure glitter (I always go for the duo chromes and glitters, TBH). There’s enough there to create a whole variety of eye looks, including winged liner. I see myself using this palette even more as the holidays get closer.

9Best Hairstyling Product: TruHair Volcano Volume Styling Paste, $29

HSN

CONFESSION ALERT: My ultimate beauty fantasy is to have ‘90s-style voluminous hair à la Cindy Crawford or Ginger Spice in the video for “Say You’ll Be There.” Volcanic Volume is the one product that has most helped bring ooomph to my wig. You just put a dime-sized amount in between your fingers and fluff into the base of your roots. Watch out, Geri Halliwell aka Trixie Firecracker! (I know you Spice Girls fans feel me.)

10Best Cheek Product: Soap and Glory Love at First Blush Cheek Stick, $12

Ulta

I’ve been looking for a highlighter that isn’t crazy holographic but gives me a nice shimmer while adding some ~rouge~ to my cheeks. Love at First Blush is pretty much what I’ve been looking for. And it’s in stick form which I always love! Just throw it in your bag and you are
