Fans and followers of Kat Von D Beauty are going wild over the forthcoming face chart book that will allow them to practice makeup looks the old-school way.

Tattooer-turned-makeup-maven Kat Von D shared a sneak peek of her work on the book, featuring face charts of the four members of her Artistry Collective team. Tara Buenrostro (@juscallmetara), Steffanie Strazzere (@sstrazzere), Leah Carmichael (@iamleah), and Kelseyanna Fitzpatrick (@kelseyannaf) are the Kat Von D Beauty Artistry Collective, and Kat paid tribute to them in some beautiful illustrations.

Kat showed off the portraiture skills she first displayed as a tattooer, and they’re stunning. She remarked, “I plan on launching these #facechart books when I launch the @katvondbeauty PRO program on katvondbeauty.com and can’t wait to see all the face chart magic you guys come up with.”

Several folks do have a few concerns, remarking on the lack of diversity in the images. Commenters are asking for representation for people of color, those with fuller faces, monolids, or without big pillowy lips.

The illustrations are truly gorgeous and we’d love to see all types of faces in the book.

No word yet as to when the face chart book is coming out, but we will be sure to keep you posted on any new developments!
