This beauty vlogger made a swamp-like “Ninja Turtle” face mask and now we’re intrigued
Beauty vlogger Farah Dhukai’s viral DIY vids keep getting better and better. She’s taught us how to contour our faces without makeup, how to shrink pores with Pepto Bismol, and how to grow hair faster with one of our favorite fall flavors.
Her most recent vid is part DIY mask, part let-me-post-this-on-IG-so-it-will-techinically-count-as-a-Halloween-costume.
This melted mask detoxifies, repairs damaged skin, soothes acne, hydrates, cleans clogged pores, fights hyperpigmentation, and reduces oil production. The ingredients used are popular in Farah’s DIYs and can be used in a ton of concoctions, so they’re totally worth the cash (although they’re all pretty cheap.)
Start with two cups of water and bring to a boil. Then add 1 tablespoon of matcha green tea. Green tea has antioxidants your skin needs along with chlorophyll which detoxifies and fights premature aging.
Next, add 1 tablespoon of sea kelp.
Sea kelp is an excellent pore cleanser and has high amounts of vitamin A, B, C, and E.
Last ingredient — 2 tablespoons of agar powder. This is what makes the mask mold to your face so your skin absorbs everything without letting any of the ingredients evaporate.
Whisk until the mask boils like lava, let it cool, then comes the fun part.
ITS GOIN DOWN
