The “Beauty and the Beast” trailer is so popular that it just toppled “Fifty Shades'” record

When it comes to movies and 2017, things are already looking AMAZING. However, we’re most excited about the live action Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson.
It seems that we’re not the only ones, either, as the trailer for Beauty and the Beast just broke the record for the most most views in 24 hours EVER.
Since it was revealed two days ago (November 14th), the trailer for the live-action remake of the Disney classic was watched over 124 million times in 24 hours! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! In fact, this beat out the previous record for the Fifty Shades Darker trailer, which drew in 114 million views in 24 hours, and the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which claimed 112 million views in 24 hours.

Many of the views for the trailer came from the Facebook pages of the stars involved with the film.
In fact, as Entertainment Weekly reported, 27 million views came directly from Emma Watson’s Facebook page, which is 100% the kind of thing we’ve come to expect from the star. She is, after all, an actual goddess.
In fact, Watson has also been integral to the plotting of the new Beauty and the Beast movie. The actor and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador revealed that she felt there was something missing from Belle’s past.
"I was like, ‘Well, there was never very much information or detail at the beginning of the story as to why Belle didn’t fit in, other than she liked books. Also what is she doing with her time?’," she said. "“So, we created a backstory for her, which was that she had invented a kind of washing machine, so that, instead of doing laundry, she could sit and use that time to read instead. So, yeah, we made Belle an inventor.
YES KWEEN!
As the incredibly high viewing figures for the trailer show, there’s obviously A LOT of interest in the live-action remake of Disney’s 1991 animated movie.
In fact, Josh Gad told Entertainment Weekly that he’d never experienced the kind of curiosity and interest in a movie he’d been involved with.
"Look, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding Frozen 2, there’s buzz surrounding other things I’ve been involved with. But, this, there’s such curiosity, joy, excitement, and buzz about a film that’s two years away still," said Gad, who plays Le Fou in the film. "That’s an enormous amount of pressure, actually, but also something that we all take very seriously. Every day we’re making this movie, we know what the bar is, and we’re trying to match that bar, if not exceed it in some ways. So we’re very well aware of that."
More importantly, there’s not too long to wait until Beauty and the Beasts hits our screens either! The film is set to hit theaters on March 17th, 2017. So, only 120 days to go…
