Exciting news! Batgirl will be a playable character in the new “Batman: Arkham Knight” game!

We were SO excited to hear that WB Games has announced that Batgirl will be a playable character in the new Batman: Arkham Knight game! In a world where Black Widow is on hardly any of The Avengers‘ merchandise and though we get a kajillion superhero movies every year, we’re not going to get a superheroine-centric movie until Wonder Woman comes out in 2017, every time we see a super female being treated super fairly, we have to stand up and cheer. This is also a big deal in the gaming world, where playable female heroes in big games are few and far between.

WB Games gave us all a sneak preview of what Batgirl is going to look like in the game and she looks fierce as heck and ready for all the action. Aaaand… now we ALL know who we want to be for Halloween this year.

We’re so jazzed for this game to drop on June 23rd, and hope the gaming world will take note, we like our female characters kick ass and playable. More please
