That was good. We got through that together. It is important to note that basset hounds were bred to be hunting dogs. Their stature close to the ground helps sniff our pray and clearly hunt for our hearts — our’s fell out while searching for photos. Whew! Quick break for more facts: The signature ears that flop around are prone to infections. It’s not all fun and games! Small puppies can sometimes bite down on their ears as they eat food, or even step on them as they run. This sounds pretty intense but wouldn’t you giggle seeing a puppy trip over their own ears?
