Barack Obama is looking for future leaders to work with, and here’s how you can apply

If you’ve been looking for a chance to get noticed by our former president, well, do we have news for you. Barack Obama is looking for leaders to help with his Obama Foundation Fellowship Program. He put out a call on Instagram yesterday, but here’s just one catch — you don’t have too much time to apply. Obama is closing the application period today, October 6th. So, you’ll want to jump on the chance immediately.

In his words, he’s looking for  “innovators who are solving problems in their communities in creative and powerful ways.”

All in all, 20 very lucky people will be selected. It kind of sounds like a dream come true.

"When I left office, I told you all that the single most important thing I could do would be to help prepare the next generation of leaders to take their own crack at changing the world," Obama wrote in the caption. "The @ObamaFoundation Fellows program is looking to do just that."

The program will last two years. According to the Foundation website, the first class will help refine the Fellowship a little bit. Thus, these individuals will pretty much be making history.

One of the qualifications you must have is being a good human. Seriously. The website states that they’re looking for people with “strong moral character,” and quite honestly, we’re so glad that’s a must-have for the program.

Applicants who have been accepted will find out in February 2018. The first gathering of Fellows is expected to happen in April of next year.

If you want to make a difference, this is the perfect step. So, what are you waiting for? Go to obama.org/fellowship for more information.
