People went absolutely nuts for Balmain’s H&M collection
H&M’s collaboration with French couture fashion brand Balmain dropped last week after months of anticipation from fashion experts and casual shoppers alike. Therefore, it’s no surprise that during the morning of the launch, people went a little bananas. Lines snaked their way from H&M entrances all the way around city streets and corners, filled with customers hoping to snag a piece of the collection before it was all snapped up.
If you’re not super interested in fashion, the name of this collection probably still sounds familiar thanks to Kendall Jenner. She was one of the models for the line, and was also present at the launch party, where the Backstreet Boys reunited.
The collab (which you can check out here) was released both in stores and online at 8:00 AM on November 5th, selling out almost instantly.
Check out the madness when the doors opened:
Shoppers grabbed as much as they possibly could—and then turned to Instagram to give us a peek:
These shoppers weren’t messing around and, for the most part, the collection is completely gone. Anyone hoping to still get their hands on a piece will have to sort through any returns that come back into stores, but judging from these Instagrams, nobody plans on giving up their spoils any time soon.
