Krystal called Arie a liar on “The Bachelor,” and Twitter couldn’t get enough of the drama
Another Monday, another dramatic episode of The Bachelor — and we mean *dramatic* because things got kind of really intense between Arie and Krystal. If you haven’t seen Season 22, Episode 5 yet, watch out! Spoilers lie ahead. And if you have watched, great! Let’s talk about all the D-R-A-M-A.
In this Bachelor ep, Arie gave Chelsea and Tia one-on-one dates, and the rest of the ladies took to the bowling alley for a group date. The ladies were split into two teams, and what started as friendly (enough) competition to win more time with Arie via an afterparty, soon took a turn for the worse when Arie decided to — dun, dun, dunnnn!!! — invite both teams.
Now, we all know people in the Bachelor franchise literally always talk about wanting more time with the Bachelor or Bachelorette. (But actually, if I had a nickel.) That’s nothing new, but the way Krystal — who was on the winning bowling team and thus, probably would’ve had more time with the Bach himself — freaked out about Arie inviting both teams is straight-up ridiculous.
She acted like he betrayed her and called him a liar, when speaking with the ladies — and then proceeded to pack her bags, and skip out on the afterparty. Arie left the getdown for a bit to speak with Krystal, and he didn’t mince words. (Because, hello, he was just trying to be nice to everyone.) “I think you should stay up here tonight. I’m going to go down and hang with them,” he ultimately told her. “Know that I’m not happy about it. I’ll see you in a few days.”
And when he did see her again, he kept it real as hell, telling her that if she thinks this is hard, it’s got nothing on the real world.
Twitter was living for Krystal’s temper tantrum(s), and Arie finally putting his foot down…
Like, they were all about it.

I literally, figuratively, metaphorically, hypothetically can’t & wont even with you Krystal. #thebachelor

Proud of Arie for standing his ground and not just telling Krystal what she wanted to hear… sometimes we just need a timeout #thebachelor

Next time I spend the entire day watching Netflix and eating chips in bed and my husband asks what I did all day, I'm just gonna tell him I invested in myself. #TheBachelor

My response now when people ask why I’m hiding in my room: “I’m not hiding. I’m investing in myself.” #TheBachelor

Krystal: "It's our first fight."
Arie: "It could be our last fight."
First cool thing he's said all season. #TheBachelor— Jake Young (@ItsJakeYoung) January 30, 2018
…That is, until Arie, um, didn’t put his foot down.
Yeah, he decided to give her a rose.
I hope everyone here trusts my judgement.

All the people wanting Krystal to go home…she ain’t going anywhere until she’s on the 2-on-1. #TheBachelor

But honestly, we all knew Krystal wouldn’t go anywhere this soon in the game, right? Right, and we’ll sure as hell be watching in the coming weeks to find out if/when Arie does send her home.
