You will instantly fall in love with this newborn pygmy hippo!

The Zoological Society of London uploaded a video of their newest pygmy hippo and challenged viewers not to instantly fall in love with him. At first the “Boxing Day baby” might look a little strange but the adorable calf will win you over. The newborn’s mother, Flora, was battling cancer during her pregnancy and zookeepers were worried that the pygmy hippo wouldn’t make it through her treatments. Pygmy hippos are part of the European Endangered Species Breeding Program at the zoo so making sure this rare birth took place was a big concern for everyone involved. Now that this slippery little guy was born happy and healthy, mama and baby can live safely together for a very long time.
