As it was prophesied, everyone is losing their minds over Baby Groot in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”
Through some streak of good luck, this summer I happened to make it into the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, and tbh, I’ve thought about the Marvel panel at SDCC at least once a day, every day, for the past five months. Why am I telling you this right now? Because for the last five months I’ve been trying to talk to people about how cute Baby Groot is in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. But up until this past weekend, only me and my 5,000-ish in Hall H this summer had seen him.
Not anymore.
The first trailer for Guardians Vol. 2 is out, and while we’ve seen tiny snippets of Baby Groot before, now we really get to see him in all his Baby “I am Groot” Groot glory. AND IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. Now the rest of the internet knows why I’ve been oooh-ing and ahhh-ing over him since the summer. He is so damn cute. He totally falls into the cute catch-all of big head + big eyes + adorable Vin Diesel voice.
Baby Groot is too good for this world. Everyone agrees.
