The latest “Guardians of the Galaxy” trailer is here to remind us that Baby Groot is the cutest thing ever

This summer you’re going to be hearing a lot of “Star Lord, who?” That’s because there’s a new, and better, and CUTER hero in ~~town~~ the galaxy, and his name is Baby Groot.

We have to do everything in our power to protect Baby Groot, no matter the cost. He is our new everything.

The latest (and probably final) trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is here, and it’s heavy on the action, and even heavier on the adorableness of Baby Groot. We knew he was going to be cute, but we didn’t know he was going to be sittin’-in-the-Milano-eatin’-candy cute.

Or what about wavin’-at-Gamora-while-she’s-got-a-big-gun cute?

You’re heart might not be able to handle this, but there’s also quivering-lip Baby Groot.

Baby Groot is life.

But okay, what about the rest of the Guardians crew? The gang’s all here, and they’re trying to save the galaxy, again (Rocket is super excited about this, because they’re “really going to be able to jack up [their] princes as two time galaxy savers”).

The trailer is actually light on new plot, but we’re reminded of what’s happening this time around: Star Lord and Co. come face to face with a species of “superior beings,” manage to royally piss them off, and now have to fight them off to survive. Oh, and fight off some angry Ravagers, too. And possibly Star Lord’s dad, Ego. Sounds like a piece of cake, huh?
