Ayesha and Stephen Curry welcomed their third child with an adorable Instagram post
The Currys are officially a team of five! After celebrating yet another NBA Championship ring with the Golden State Warriors in June, Ayesha Curry and her husband, basketball star Stephen Curry, welcomed their third child into the world — a healthy baby boy named Canon W. Jack Curry. The happy couple announced the arrival of their newest bundle of joy on July 4th via Instagram, revealing he was born on Monday, July 2nd, a few weeks before Ayesha’s due date.
The parents, who tied the knot in July 2011, revealed they were expecting another child back in February and that they were keeping the new baby’s sex a surprise until birth (they already have two adorable daughters, Riley and Ryan).
The Insta announcement includes a snap of big sisters Riley and Ryan cradling their new baby brother, with the caption:
"My heart is FULL. God has been too good to us. Our beautiful baby boy Canon W.Jack Curry 7/2/2018. He joined us earlier than we thought and we couldn’t be more excited and grateful. Family of 5!"
Stephen also confirmed the news with a photo from the hospital room. “On this journey, on this quest… protect me… I’m bless!” Steph captioned the pic. “Canon W. Jack Curry.”
Ayesha has been incredibly open in recent months about her struggles during her third pregnancy. In April, she revealed she suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, which caused severe morning sickness (and is the same condition Kate Middleton was known to have throughout all three of her pregnancies).
"For the past 4 months, I've barely been able to eat let alone cook," she wrote on GoInspo, her lifestyle blog. "The mere smell of food averts me. This all has got me in a funk that I can't seem to shake. I don't want to say I'm depressed because I take mental health very seriously but I am truly very, very sad. When you can't do what you love all of a sudden because of an uncontrollable situation, it sucks."
We’re so glad Ayesha is doing better, that her little baby boy is here, and that she can go back to being the lady boss she is. Welcome to the world little Canon, and congratulations to the whole family.
