The Affair is a small, beautifully written drama, and if you haven’t had a chance to check it out, you should. 8. Man in the High Castle on Amazon

This dystopian drama that imagines the United States if we had lost World War II may hit a little too close to home, but it’s an addicting show. Man in the High Castle is based on a Philip K. Dick novel, and it follows some members of the resistance movement against oppressive governments. If you start it early enough in the day, you may get through the entire Season 1 before you head to bed. Plus, if you binge-watch over the holiday, then you’ll be all caught up for when Season 2 starts on December 16th.
