Dakota Fanning's green gown makes her look like a woodland princess on the Emmys red carpet
Black, red, and gold are all stunning, but typical colors we see on the red carpet, so any time a celeb opts for a risk-taking shade, we have to give props. At the 17th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Dakota Fanning decided to shake things up with a gorgeous green gown. While there have certainly been memorable green looks on the red carpet (think Jennifer Lopez’s iconic Versace gown at the 2000 Grammys and Lupita N’yongo’s flowy Gucci dress at Cannes in 2015), Fanning’s choice is in a league of its own. The 24-year-old, who currently stars in The Alienist, opted for a moss green gown with an accordion skirt.
She looks like a chic forest nymph.
The dress is from Dior’s fall 2018 show, and Fanning told Access Hollywood that she wanted to wear the dress ever since she saw it on the runway.
Can we get a twirl?
Fanning accessorized the gown with matching emerald earrings from Lorraine Schwartz. With her hair loosely pulled back, Fanning’s beauty look for the night consisted of a simple yet striking cat-eye and a nude lip. The perfect makeup to let the gown shine.
