The 7 best-dressed stars at the 2019 British Fashion Awards, including, of course, Rihanna
It’s only fitting that the award ceremony celebrating the best fashion of the year would have a truly memorable red carpet. Stars came to shine at the 2019 British Fashion Awards in London yesterday, December 2nd. And despite the frigid temperatures, they steamed up the place with their hot, hot fashion moments. Look: Rihanna came. No red carpet with Rihanna is a dud.
The British Fashion Awards always draw a serious guest list of global fashion and Hollywood A-listers. And everyone seems to know that you cannot show up to a fashion award ceremony in a boring outfit. So it was not easy narrowing down the boldest and best red carpet looks this year, but we did it. In our humble opinion, here are the celebrities who made our best-dressed list of 2019.
When Rihanna walks a red carpet, 9.9 times out of 10 she’s going to make the best-dressed list. That’s just how it is. She completely stunned in a pastel Fenty ensemble this time around, setting everything right in the world.
The Mother of Dragons is here, and she’s bringing sleeve. We love Emilia Clarke wearing a very un-Daenerys color, vibrant yellow. The length, the texture, the cut-out—it’s all working.
Tracee Ellis Ross
The 2019 British Fashion Awards host served up a more subtle color with gorgeous details. Tracee Ellis Ross had loads of fashion switch-ups during her host duties, but we adore this winter white, monochrome look from the red carpet.
An icon in a jumpsuit! Julia Roberts ditched the dress for a black, sparkly jumpsuit, and we’re here for it. Add in the earrings and the long bob haircut and she has to make our best red carpet looks list.
British supermodel Adut Akech took home the Fashion Icon award at the ceremony, and she also won the red carpet with her holiday green Valentino gown.
Speaking of the holidays, Lily James looked like a pretty present on the British Fashion Awards red carpet—and we mean that in the best way. James must’ve liked the bow, too, because she couldn’t stop playing with it as she headed into the awards ceremony.
Rita Ora looked like a work of art in her black-and-white gown. And that makeup? She’s taking winged eyeliner to another level.
What were your picks for the best red carpet looks at the 2019 British Fashion Awards? (We’ll assume Rihanna is included.)
