Average Parent Problems is the realest Instagram account
If you’re looking for a place where you can stare at cute kids doing really destructively adorable things, Average Parent Problems is totally the Instagram account for you. And no, you don’t have to be a parent to appreciate its brilliance (seriously —this is coming from a 25-year-old cat mom, so).
Average Parent Problems, launched last month by Ilana Wiles of the blog MommyShorts, began as a “place to use all the funny parenting photos I have collected over the past five years,” wrote Wiles. “Photos that show the plethora of problems your average parent runs into on a daily basis.” Now it’s become a celebration of moments where kids are just figuring out the rules (like don’t draw on the sofa), and their parents are figuring out how to deal with it—all while laughing at the whole experience.
Having a kid is a huge responsibility (I would think), and it’s probably important to step back and get perspective—one Instagram photo at a time.
Here are some of the adorable photos from Average Parent Problems:
This little guy presented his parents with their very own, original surrealist painting.
Display cases are where it’s at, apparently.
I’m sure there’s some under-rated nutritional value in ink…
The world is your oyster, right? And by “oyster” you really mean “all surface area MUST be covered with toys.”
Hey, it’s the little things.
