Taylor Swift’s brother Austin is a movie star now, and his red carpet debut has us swooning
Though he’s obviously used to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood at this point, seeing Austin Swift, Taylor’s brother, make his red carpet debut as a movie star in his own right for Live by Night is pretty spectacular. And we just know his doting big sis would be proud.
Swift, who has a small role as Mayweather in the Ben Affleck-directed gangster flick, rocked a navy blue Gucci suit on Monday, May 9th at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theater.
Does anyone else see this and think Austin is total leading man material?
He’s been posting his excitement for the project on Instagram, and we cannot blame him.
The movie takes place in the Prohibition Era, and centers around Affleck, who plays the son of a cop who gets involved in organized crime when he falls for a mob boss’s daughter.
It sounds like a pretty solid start for Austin, who recently told People why he suddenly caught the acting bug.
Swift said,
“I was studying mainly film theory in college, but during one of my classes, a teaching assistant said they were having trouble casting this one role in the play they were putting up. I went and read for it and ended up getting the part, but I had no idea at the time that it was the lead. That was a crash course but a good one. I fell in love with the people and the process, and I’ve been hooked since then.
… And lucky for us, there’s more of Austin on the big screen on the way.
He just finished filming Cover Versions alongside Katie Cassidy and Drake Bell, and we simply cannot wait to find out what the talented Swift bro is going to do next.
