Attention: Kristen Bell has a new NBC sitcom

The TV gods woke up this morning and smiled down upon us, proclaiming, “let there be more Kristen Bell.” That means she’s coming back to TV — again! Bell currently stars in Showtime’s very funny House of Lies, but no one ever said she could only be in one television show at the same time. In a kinda rare TV move, she’s now going to be in two. Not that we’re complaining; double the Bell is perfect for us.

Bell has signed up to star in a brand new show from Parks and Recreation showrunner, Michael Schur. The show, currently called Good Place, will center around Bell, who plays Eleanor. According to Deadline, Eleanor “comes to realize that she hasn’t been a very good person” and “decides to turn over a new leaf by learning what it actually means to be ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ and then trying to make up for her past behavior.”

The new show will also star Ted Danson, who becomes Eleanor’s “guide through her self-designed self-improvement course.” While Bell will continue on as a series regular on both House of Lies (Season 5 will premiere later this year, and the show has already been renewed for Season 6), Danson will depart from his role on CSI: Cyber.

Good Place has a straight-to-series order from NBC, meaning that it’s likely we’ll see it on our television sets VERY SOON. The more Bell we can squeeze into our lives, THE BETTER.
