Ashton Kutcher reveals his favorite places to go in LA with Mila Kunis and we want to see them all
Need a Los Angeles tour guide? Well, Ashton Kutcher just revealed his favorite LA haunts and at the same time became our new favorite guide!
Sure, Kutcher is an actor, father and husband, but apparently he’s a travel guide, too. Okay, technically he’s not a guide in the sense that he’d take you around town and point out the sites, but he has shared his top nine places to go in LA and we want to see them all right away.
As a part of Airbnb’s newly launched “Places” section, which gives locals a place to put all their hot spots in for visitors to access, Kutcher shared his top spots and it’s safe to say these places will no longer fly under the radar. Oh, and they’re all kid friendly and family approved.
1. Comoncy Beverly Hills
Need a family breakfast joint? According to The Ranch actor, this is the perfect place to enjoy tasty breakfasts. “I love this counter-service place for a quick family breakfast. They serve Equator coffee, by far the best cup in town,” Kutcher told fans during the Airbnb Open event over the weekend via People.
"Get the avocado toast — olive bread with avocado and two poached eggs on top."
2. Skirball Center
This one is for the kids! It’s the cultural center off of Skirball Drive (off the 405 freeway) and it’s definitely kid friendly. “There’s a room-sized Noah’s Ark where kids can load handmade wooden animals and climb through rope tunnels. It’s a perfect fun house, with activities, music, and stories,” the That ’70s Show alum said.
3. Los Angeles County Museum of Art
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art of LACMA as it’s called by locals, has something for everyone. “Activities for kids and amazing art and culture for everyone — they have classes and even a special gallery for children and families,” he explained. Plus, anyone under 18-years-old can become a member for free!
4. Travel Town Museum
In LA there are a ton of museums, but not many have a train ride on the premises, which Travel Town Museum does.
"This is a great museum in Griffith Park where you can take the kids to check out old steam trains, go on a train ride, and explore LA's past. And it's free — you just pay if you want to ride the train," he said.
Plus, you can also hike Griffith Park once you’re in the area for one of the greatest views of LA.
5. Sweet Rose Creamery: Brentwood
OMG, what’s not to love about Sweet Rose Creamery? It’s an ice cream joint that is beyond delicious. “They have awesome seasonal flavors that are always changing, and they use quality ingredients,” Kutcher revealed. “They have a nice contained patio, too.”
6. Santa Monica Pier Aquarium
Love the sea? Then this is your spot. “This is a little hidden gem. It’s nothing fancy but is a good 30 minutes of entertainment — kids can touch the starfish and sea urchins. And every species is from Santa Monica Bay,” Kutcher explained.
7. iPic Theaters Westwood
Attention movie goers: this one is for you. According to Kutcher, there are “comfy” chairs and you get free popcorn at this movie theater. Sign us up!
8. Rocket Fizz Westwood
This candy shop has a ton of variety, so kids and adults will love it. “Here, you can get your sugar high with all the variety in the world. They have a lot of entertaining gag gifts to keep you busy, too,” he said.
9. Lake Hollywood Reservoir
Nothing says LA like a hike with a view! This specific hike Kutcher describes as, “A super simple hike that’s flat and easy for everyone but still gives you a cool view of the Hollywood sign and Mulholland Dam.”
Alright Ashton, we get it, LA is awesome! Now all we need is a ton of time off so we can see all of these places first hand.
