Ashton Kutcher tried to set Mila Kunis up with one of his friends before they started dating

By now, we feel as though we’re a third wheel in Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s relationship. Over the course of the past few weeks, during various interviews, Mila has discussed the many friendship breakups she’s been through with Ashton. She’s also opened up about the night these two took things to the next level and has even been super honest about having another child with her That 70’s Show co-star.

Now, Mila’s told us all about the fact that Ashton actually tried to set her up with one of his BFFs before they dated.

While being interviewed by James Corden on The Late Late Show, Mila revealed that her and Ashton kept in touch after their show wrapped (via AOL Instant Messenger, no less), but her feelings toward him didn’t change until she ran into the actor at an awards show later on in life. “That moment that you hear or see in movies when your heart skips a beat? It happened with Ashton,” Mila explained. “It was the weirdest thing – I was like, ‘This isn’t really happening.’” Though Mila may have fallen for Ashton at that moment, he had different plans.

In fact, Ashton didn’t see himself in a relationship with Mila.

At the awards show, Ashton ended up inviting Mila to a housewarming party at his home because… “I found out later in life that my husband was trying to set me up on a blind date with one of his friends that night,” Mila stated. “So he was like ‘come over’ and he had a friend he wanted to set me up with – and that didn’t happen.” Interestingly enough, Ashton’s friend ended up dating a woman Ashton had seen in the past.

Now, even though Mila and Ashton finally got together, it wasn’t an instant happily ever after.

In fact, these two actually started out by recreating their movies Friends with Benefits and No Strings Attached, since they were planning to just have fun with one another. “We clearly didn’t watch the end of our movies,” quipped Kunis, who romantically concluded by stating:

“It’s all meant to be.”
