Ashley Tisdale just dyed her hair “rose filter” and it’s too perfect

Last month, we called rose-gold the hair color trend of 2016, with stars like Emma Roberts and Sienna Miller adding a touch of blush to their usual blonde locks. Another celeb has jumped on the strawberry-inspired trend, putting her own subtle spin on it, and it is none other than Ashley Tisdale. The 30-year-old just debuted her new hair on Instagram, calling it “rose filter IRL.” Cute!

Celebrity hair guru Kristen Ess, famous for giving Lauren Conrad and Lucy Hale to-die-for locks, is behind Ashley’s new look — and it was really inspired by a filter on a photo app. “It legitimately came from the way blonde hair looks when there’s a rose filter on a photo,” the hairstylist told PeopleStyle. “Only AT wanted it to look like that all day everyday. We’ve both mentioned how great blonde hair looks with that particular filter and agreed it would look gorgeous in real life! But technically I came up with ‘Rose Filter IRL.’ But only because I have to give every color & every braid a name.”

The new ‘do comes just in time for the upcoming spinoff of the TV show, Young & Hungry, in which Tisdale will star. “She wanted her character, Logan, to have exciting hair and this just felt right,” explained Ess. “She’s also launching a gorgeous makeup line called Illuminate, so obviously we had to do something that would go perfectly with the new phase one colors!”

We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for that makeup line!
