Ashley Nell Tipton “broke all the rules” designing her plus-size line for JCPenney
We’ve been counting down the days to the release of Project Runway alum Ashley Nell Tipton’s plus-size capsule collection for JCPenney ever since we watched the inspiring video for the “Here I Am” campaign, starring Ashley alongside a bunch of our favorite curvy style icons.
In the video, the women talk about the journey toward body confidence and self-love, whether they’re doing yoga, dancing, or simply going to the beach. Oh, and they look amazing doing it.
As the countdown to the fall launch date of her collection, Ashley Nell Tipton for Boutique+, gets closer, the designer talked to Racked about the vibe of her collection:
Ashley also wants her bold designs to inspire non-plus-size women who are just looking for the confidence to have fun with fashion. “It can be a straight-size woman who doesn’t have the confidence to wear something,” she says, “but by seeing us and seeing our confidence, we want to be able to influence them to wear anything that they want.”
Just so you know, Ashley, we are HERE FOR IT. One thing we want to know, though—is it fall yet?
