Ashley Benson’s signature blonde hair is now this witchy shade that’s perfect for October
Perhaps blondes don’t have more fun, after all. Ashley Benson, who has sported her signature blonde locks for almost a decade, went dark for the witchy season. Benson debuted dark brown hair on Instagram on October 6th, and we’re living for this new version of our fave Pretty Little Liars cast member.
Now that Freeform’s PLL is officially over after seven years on the air, and the mystery of “A” is over, Benson decided to make a drastic change to usher in a new era of her career (and identity outside of the show). She’s been dabbling with different shades of blonde for months now, going darker and darker with each dye.
Now, Benson has finally taken the plunge into brunette, and the risk definitely paid off.
She revealed her new hair in an Instagram post, in which she posed with “her best,” Remington Franklin. She appears to have kept ~some~ of her blonde—the ends of her hair are still fairly light. But those roots are full dark-and-stormy, and we love.
It looks like Benson also treated herself to a minor chop. As we saw in mid-September, her hair fell just below her shoulders. And now, the new brunette is doing the “lob” look with her hair hitting her collarbones.
It’s fresh, it’s fire, and it’s perfect for fall. (And it’s a little reminiscent of her character Hanna Marin’s goth turn in Pretty Little Liars Season 5, no?)
We’re so ready to see how Benson styles her new look. If she goes full-fall, styling her new look with chunky sweaters, scarves, and beanies, we’ll be happy campers.
