We got a rare glimpse of Ashlee Simpson at the 2017 AMAs
The American Music Awards was full of musical highlights, fashion hits, and moments we couldn’t get enough of. But in between the K-Pop band BTS’s American awards show debut, Christina Aguilera’s moving tribute to Whitney Houston, and Selena Gomez’s “Wolves” performance, we had another moment that stopped us in our tracks. It was all thanks to Ashlee Simpson.
We haven’t seen her on the red carpet in forever and Ashlee reminded us just how much we missed her. Maybe you follow her on Instagram and see the super sweet anniversary messages she posts to her husband, Evan Ross, but as far as red carpet appearances? We’ve been without her presence!
Of course, if there was a major event for Ashlee to reemerge at, it would the AMAs. Her mother-in-law, Diana Ross, was being honored with a Lifetime Achievement award, so naturally Ashlee showed up and out.
Where do we start? From the slick blonde hair to the gold jewelry to the floor-length, multicolored sequin Christian Siriano dress, Ashlee shut it down.
While most people might go light on the accessories due to such a glam dress, Ashlee pulled out all the stops with gold rings, statement earrings, and a herringbone chain necklace.

Though Ashlee slayed on her own, she also shared the red carpet with her adorable family, including husband Evan Ross, their daughter Jagger, and her son Bronx (whom she had with ex-husband Pete Wentz).
