Kemp writes that on the day of the new moon, you should “write your wish on a sheet of clean paper, then light a new, white votive candle,” and turn off any other artificial lighting.
"For ten minutes, enjoy the flame's glow and think about the fulfillment of your wish. Then say, 'As I sleep tonight, may the divine power of spiritual love and light grant my wish.'" Concentrate on your wish and burn the paper in the flame. Leave the candle to extinguish itself.
Repeat the spell at the same time for 12 consecutive nights. If one night is missed, start the spell from day one.
