Ariana Grande just posted the most hilarious throwback to her “Sam & Cat” days
We have some vintage Ariana Grande to liven up your Monday because the “Dangerous Woman” singer posted a #tbt Instagram video, one that’s circa her Sam & Cat days. In the classic vid, an unassuming Grande dives to the floor in response to her costar Janette McCurdy scaring the you-know-what out of her. It’s absolutely hilarious and it also dispels past rumors of any feud between the stars.
The scare is synced up with the beginning of Grande’s hit, “Greedy,” and the Dangerous Woman Tour Instagram account is tagged in the caption. (Grande’s tour starts February 2nd – in Phoenix, Arizona!)
Look at our little red-headed Ariana! And look at our little scary bb Jennette McCurdy:
After Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat was cancelled in 2014 after only one season, fans were led to believe that the two main stars were possibly feuding.
The rumors began to circulate after McCurdy was absent from the 2014 Kid’s Choice Awards. After fans asked about her being MIA, McCurdy explained via her TwitLonger that she was “put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation,” while involved in the hit show.
It was later rumored that Grande was being paid more than McCurdy. Grande disproved the statement, writing on her Facebook that, “Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards… The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false.“
According to fans, Grande also supposedly left McCurdy out of a Thank You note she wrote to her fans after Sam & Cat was cancelled. Fans were left wondering, though, if this was an intentional move on Grande’s part or not.
In September 2016, fans of the former costars got some answers from McCurdy when she posted a SnapChat of herself and friend, Colton Tran, singing Grande’s song “Into You.” The feud looked like it was over, or perhaps, never was present at all.
Grande’s most recent #tbt further confirms the fact that this fabricated feud was exactly that: a fabrication. Of course the two could have butted heads now and again, but the evidence shows that there is more positivity than problems.
