Ariana Grande announced the release date for the “Thank U, Next” video…along with epic BTS footage
Ever since Ariana Grande first hinted at the chick flick-themed “Thank U, Next” music video, fans have been anxiously awaiting any and all updates. And after sharing sneak peeks that pay homage to Mean Girls, 13 Going on 30, Legally Blonde, and Bring It On, the singer has finally announced the video’s release date. In a tweet today, November 29th, Grande revealed that the “Thank U, Next” video will premiere tomorrow, November 30th. But that wasn’t the only update the pop star blessed her fans with. She accompanied her news with a video full of behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot.
The footage features so many cameos, references, and plain old gems. We see Grande reading up on immigration and refugee law and strutting in Elle Woods’ iconic pink suit. There’s a peek at the pop star’s take on the Plastics’ Burn Book, a glimpse of a Clovers uniform from Bring It On, and a dream house that would make Jenna Rink proud. Jennifer Coolidge (aka Paulette from Legally Blonde) and Grande’s former Victorious co-star Matt Bennett even make appearances.
The “Thank U, Next” video already looks amazing.

As MTV notes, the video’s director, Hannah Lux Davis, has a long history of working with Grande. She helmed the “Bang Bang,” “Focus,” and “Into You” music videos, so we already know that these two are a magical combination. With all the anticipation surrounding the “Thank U, Next” music video, it’s safe to say that Grande has taught us all patience. We can’t wait to watch the video when it drops.
