Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next fragrance doesn’t smell like broken relationships

Described as “the ultimate fragrance for moving on and looking up,” Ariana Grande‘s brand new Thank U, Next fragrance is the scent that’s going to get you over that lanky, funny guy with all the tattoos. Or, you know, whoever you’re currently stuck on.
Released on August 18th through Ulta, Grande’s Thank U, Next Eau de Parfum is available in three sizes, each of which flaunt broken heart-shaped bottles.
So, depending on how bad your heartbreak is, you can purchase the appropriate-sized bottle of Thank U, Next to pull you through. And surprisingly, the scent doesn’t smell like salty tears, unwashed hair, white wine, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, as one would expect a broken relationship-themed fragrance to smell like.
"Optimistically outspoken. Playful yet cool," Ulta describes the fragrance on its website. "Thank U, Next bursts opens with juicy notes of sparkling white pear and wild raspberry that soften with a heart of creamy coconut and delicate pink rose petals. Divine velvety musk infuses classic Ari sass, while macaroon sugar adds playful femininity."
As the site proclaims, the perfume is “Full of attitude, full of sweetness.” We’re into that.

"I wanted to make a fragrance that smells related to my first fragrance, Ari, but more summery, so I revisited Ari’s fruity pear and raspberry notes and changed it up by adding some coconut," Grande stated in a press release per Harper's Bazaar. "I was inspired to design a bottle that represented the message of my song “thank u next— the emergence of the perfume from the broken heart represents moving forward from a challenging chapter.
