Ariana Grande posts touching message of support to Carrie Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd

As we mourn the loss of the incredible and hugely influential Carrie Fisher, celebrities continue to share touching messages explaining how much she meant to them, and how much they feel for her loved ones. And this message Ariana Grande sent Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd is particularly sweet.

Billie, who is known for playing Chanel #3 in Scream Queens, has received a number of loving messages from her co-stars, including Lea Michelle and Jamie Lee Curtis. Grande played Billie’s sorority sister in the first season of the show,and her Instagram post to Billie following her mother’s death features an image of she and Billie on set. We’re so here for this show of love and support.

In Ariana Grande’s post, the pair are all decked out in pastels and posing for the camera during a filming break.

Grande wrote,

"i love you so very much @praisethelourd. my heart is with you & your family."

While Grande turned off comments for the Instagram post, based on the 1.9 million likes it got from her followers, we’re feeling some major love toward this sweet and simple message.

It isn’t always easy to know what to say when a friend’s parent passes. We hope that these shows of support and the many celebrating Billie’s mother’s life makes a positive impact, as sending love is definitely a place to start.
