Ariana Grande just became the new face of MAC
Are you ready for the new face of MAC Cosmetics? Well, the newest spokeswoman for the brand’s Viva Glam campaign is the one and only Ariana Grande! Seriously, what can’t Ari do? She’s a singer, an actress, and now the face of one of the biggest names in makeup. That’s a resume anyone would be a little envious of.
The brand announced that Ariana will be the next spokesperson for their campaign via Periscope on Tuesday and we are already freaking out. The 22-year-old star will be taking over the coveted spot after Miley Cyrus, whose collaboration featured products with a fiery red-orange color, which matched her personality perfectly.
“Secret’s out: Introducing our 2016 #VIVAGLAM girl, @ArianagGrande Welcome to the MAC family. Available January 2016,” the company tweeted after their video announcement on Tuesday.
Ariana’s collaboration will be more feminine and sweet, with splash of sass. There will be pink hues in her lipgloss, while her lipstick color will take on darker tones and look more like a plum hue, which feeds Ariana’s more glamorous side.
“#VIVAGLAM @maccosmetics I am beyond honored and excited to be working with a brand that stands for and always has stood for EQUALITY,” Ariana wrote alongside her new ads for the makeup company on Instagram.
“My lipstick & gloss will be available in January and EVERY PENNY goes to people effected (sic) by HIV & AIDS. I have loved & supported @maccosmetics ever since I was a little girl walking through the mall and saw your first #VIVAGLAM girl in the window @rupaulofficial. I’m so honored!!!” the Scream Queens actress added.
Yep, you read that right, all proceeds will go to MAC Cosmetics Aids Funds. MAC has always uses its Viva Glam branch to give back and donate to charity and Ariana teaming up with MAC for their non-profit branch makes us want to buy these products ASAP. Sadly, the new lipgloss and lipstick won’t be available until January, so we’ll just have to wait until after the holidays to get our hands on these chic and sweet new shades and find something else to put on our Christmas lists, like MAC gift cards, maybe.
