Ariana Grande jokingly called Hugh Jackman her dad in this hilarious “family photo”
While we’re still reeling from Ariana Grande’s star performance as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray! Live, it seems the pop star has moved on to other things — one of them including the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert series.
Backstage at Friday’s show, Ariana met Hugh Jackman, and the two took some adorable snaps together, including Ariana’s mom, Joan Grande. The family photo vibes were not lost on the trio, as Ariana cracked a joke on Instagram that Hugh was her dad.
Looking at the photo, you really might believe that Hugh Jackman is, in fact, Ariana’s dad.
"So glad we got our family christmas photo in last night jk that's not my dad that's Hugh Jackman (merry Christmas, mom)," Ariana wrote in the caption.
Ariana’s real dad came out to the show, too.
Hugh also shared a pic of the two of them, saying thanks to Ariana for making him a “cool Dad.”
"@arianagrande aside from the fact that you're awesomely talented... thank you for (unofficially) making me a cool Dad," wrote Hugh.
Ariana has had a busy holiday season! Earlier this month, she killed in in Hairspray Live! as Penny Pingleton. One reviewer called her:
"the show’s MVP, acting as both reliably overlook-able sidekick and, once the situation required it, showstopping diva."
She’s also getting ready to go on tour for her album Dangerous Woman. And she just released a song with Stevie Wonder, “Faith,” for the movie Sing.

We have to say, we definitely ship this friendship/fake father-daughter relationship and would NOT to be sad to see more of it in the future! So cute, you guys!
